Integration Framework — Project Concepts
The Integration Framework is a starter project containing preset methods used to configure simple HTTP-based Connectors. TIBCO Scribe® requires a small set of information to connect to an API and begin processing data, such as connection and authentication information, query rules, and operation mappings. Simple HTTP uses methods, such as GET, PUT, or POST, to retrieve or store data. The Connector is the bridge or the map between TIBCO Scribe® and the API and is installed on the Agent.
The areas of configuration required to create a Connector are as follows:
- Connection Configuration — How the initial Connection works, and what values should be included in subsequent calls to the API, such as Access Tokens. This code is generated by the Fast Connector Integration Framework Wizard when you install the Integration Framework project in Visual Studio. See Defining The Integration Framework Connection Form.
- Authentication — Controls how authentication information is sent to the API. See Configuring API Authentication In The Integration Framework.
- Queries — How data should be retrieved from the source datastore through the application's API. See Configuring Queries In The Integration Framework.
- Operations — How data is set in the target datastore through the application's API, such as a Create or Insert operation to add records to the target datastore. See Configuring Operations In The Integration Framework.
Each of these areas is started for you in the Integration Framework project. You can continue to expand on what is already coded to accommodate the needs of your Connector.
